Where does the stopwatch live?

It is a whiteboard widget. Open the whiteboard, drop the stopwatch onto a board, resize it, and place it next to whichever tools or widgets you are using.

Is this a count-up or a countdown clock?

The stopwatch only counts up. For countdowns (station rotations, test windows), use the Timer widget instead, both coexist on the same board.

Can I record lap times?

Yes. Tap the lap button while the stopwatch is running to capture the current time without stopping the clock.

Will it stay running if I switch boards?

The stopwatch state is tied to the board it sits on. Switch boards and come back, it keeps tracking where you left off.

Is it visible from the back of the classroom?

Yes. Resize the widget so the digits fill the screen for projector-friendly visibility.
