What's new in Classroom Group Generator

AI sticker widget (Pro): Describe a die-cut classroom sticker and the AI returns a transparent PNG that sits directly on your whiteboard, ready to drag onto a group, station, or name card.

AI image generation in the image widget (Pro): The existing image widget now has a Generate with AI section. Type a prompt, get a full-size classroom illustration alongside upload and paste-URL.

Shared recent generations: Every AI image and sticker drops into a recent-generations strip both widgets can read from. Reusing a saved generation never spends a credit.

Transparent sticker backgrounds: gpt-image-2 doesn't support transparent output, so the browser strips the exterior white with an edge flood-fill, leaving inner whites (eyes, highlights, sticker outline) intact.

Cloud-saved generations: Pro users' generations upload to Supabase Storage so the widget config stays light and the same sticker is available from every signed-in device.

Weekly planner grid: Drop the class planner onto any classroom whiteboard for a Monday-to-Friday view with up to ten editable period rows.

Send to planner from the lesson planner widget: Generate a plan in the AI lesson planner and tap Send to planner. The lesson lands in the cell you have focused, today's first open slot, or a fresh row if everything is full.

Tap-to-edit cells: Quick-add a one-line lesson manually, recolor or move a cell, and open the full attached AI plan from inside the lesson.

No widgets hidden: Every whiteboard tool stays on the toolbar when the planner is on the board, so you can pull a group generator, seating chart, or timer straight into prep.

AI flashcard generator widget: Pick topic mode for a curriculum-level deck like "5th grade fraction vocabulary", or paste mode to extract terms straight from your own passage. The AI returns a tap-to-reveal deck tuned to the grade level you teach.

Big front-of-room cards: Term on the front, definition on the back. Tap to flip, swipe through with prev/next, and shuffle between rounds to keep groups on their toes.

Got it / try again tracking: Mark each card as the class works through it. A live progress bar and per-pile counters show what is left and what to revisit.

Editable cards: Pencil-edit a term, polish a definition, or delete a card you do not want. Every card stays editable after the AI drafts it.

First-then board widget: Drop a two-panel visual support onto any classroom whiteboard. Pick or upload an icon for the task on the left, the reward on the right, and run the transition with one tap of Done.

Built-in classroom icon library: Twenty four emoji icons grouped into lessons, transitions, and rewards. Captions auto-fill from the icon you pick so set-up takes seconds.

Done state with confetti and chime: Pressing Done dims the task panel, scales up the reward, and (optionally) fires confetti plus a short chime. Both effects are individual toggles for noise-sensitive rooms.

Many per board with name chips: Stack as many first-then widgets as you have students who need the support. Tag each one with the student name so a shared board stays sorted.

QR code widget: Drop a clean, scannable QR onto the whiteboard. Paste any URL, Google Doc share link, Form, or text and the code rebuilds instantly with an optional caption underneath.

Custom colors and error correction: Pick foreground and background colors to match your board theme, and choose between L, M, Q, and H error correction so the code stays scannable even when partly covered or projected onto a textured surface.

One QR per group: Add as many QR widgets to a board as your activity needs, perfect for sending different teams to different docs, station rotations, or warm-up videos.

Live poll widget: New widget with two response modes. Tap mode (free) lets students click directly on your computer or interactive whiteboard for quick room checks. Live mode (Pro) generates a QR code so students vote from their phones, with results streaming in via Realtime.

Three question types: Pick text options for open prompts, emoji icons (with a per-option picker) for sentiment polls, or true/false for quick comprehension checks.

Anonymous voting with one-vote-per-device dedup: Students vote without an account. A localStorage fingerprint plus a database-level partial unique index keep one vote per device honest. Toggle multiple votes on for warm-up rounds.

Unified whiteboard workspace: Group Generator, Seating Charts, Random Picker, Timer, Scoreboard, Schedule, Clock, Traffic Light, Lesson Planner, Rubric, Quiz, and Worksheet are now draggable widgets on a shared whiteboard canvas. Privacy-safe AI: When you link a saved class, we only send aggregates (class size, grade, differentiation tags) to the AI. Individual student names never leave your browser.
