Is this lesson planner free to use?

Unfortunately not. Almost every other classroom tool we offer is free, but this one uses AI, which carries a real cost on our end. To use it, you will need to upgrade to Pro for monthly AI credits. Those credits work across all of our AI generation tools, including the lesson planner, rubric generator, quiz generator, and worksheet generator.

How does the AI know what to write?

You give it the subject, grade, topic, and duration. Optionally you add learning objectives, standards, differentiation needs, and materials. Google Gemini turns those inputs into a classroom-ready plan.

Do you share student names with the AI?

No. When you link a saved class, we send only aggregates: class size, grade, and differentiation tags. Individual names never leave your browser.

How many plans can I generate?

Pro includes 30 AI credits per month, shared across the lesson planner, rubric generator, quiz generator, and worksheet generator. Each full generation or regenerate uses one credit.

Can I edit the generated plan?

Yes. Every title, bullet, and activity is editable inline. Click any text to change it, and use the + buttons to add new items.

What if I want a different warm-up or closing?

Hit "Regenerate" and tell the AI what to change (for example "swap the warm-up for a quick write"). The AI rebuilds the full plan with your note applied, keeping the rest consistent.

Does it align to standards?

Yes. Pick a framework (Common Core, NGSS, TEKS, or state) and the AI surfaces aligned codes and descriptions in the plan.

Can I use it with my existing saved classes?

Yes. Pro users can link any saved class so the plan reflects the right class size and differentiation context.
