Is the flashcard generator free to use?

Unfortunately not. Most of our classroom tools are free, but the AI behind this one carries a real cost on our end. Generation requires Pro, which includes 30 monthly AI credits shared across every AI tool: flashcards, quizzes, worksheets, rubrics, and lesson plans.

How does topic mode work?

Type a short prompt like "civil war key dates" or "K-2 sight words for the week" and the AI drafts a deck with the most important terms a teacher would expect on a review card set.

How does paste mode work?

Drop in a textbook excerpt, reading passage, or lesson notes. The AI extracts terms only from that text, so the deck stays scoped to what you actually taught.

Can I edit the cards?

Yes. Tap the pencil to rewrite the term, adjust the definition, or delete the card. Every card is editable inline after generation.

How many cards can a deck have?

Between 3 and 40. You set the target count and the AI produces exactly that many cards.

Does the deck shuffle?

Yes. Hit the shuffle button to randomize order. Shuffle also resets the got it / try again counters so each round of review starts fresh.

Can I track which cards groups still need?

Yes. After flipping a card, mark it "got it" or "try again". The progress bar and counters show the class how many cards are left.

Do you share student details with the AI?

No. When you link a class only aggregate info (class name, size, grade) is sent. Student names and PII never leave your browser.

How many decks can I generate?

Pro includes 30 AI credits per month, shared across all AI tools. Each full deck generation uses one credit. Regenerating a deck uses one more.

Can I reuse a deck on another whiteboard?

The deck saves with the whiteboard it lives on. Pro whiteboards are unlimited and sync across devices, so you can come back to the same board next week.
